What is a Human Resource Information System (HRIS)?
A Human Resource Information System (HRIS) or Human Resource Management System (HRMS) is a software solution for small to mid-sized businesses to help automate and manage HR activities. A HRIS will improve efficiency and quality in HR decision making; and improve employee and managerial productivity and effectiveness.
What is Software as a Service (SaaS)
Software as a Service is a delivery model where companies pay not for owning the software itself but for using it. In the SaaS scenario, a software provider is responsible for its maintenance, scalability, disaster recovery, etc.
A Beta trial is generally applied when a product/service is made available for wider testing prior to launch. A Beta trial is offered on the basis of the product/service being mostly working, but still in a testing phase. A Beta trial allows us to get feedback for further development and to iron out any niggles.

Do I need any special equipment or software to use the service?
An Internet connected Windows, Apple or Linux computer/device is all you need. In fact almost any modern device that can browse the web will work. We officially support Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 & 7 as well as Mozilla Firefox 2.
How does Techony benefit a small business?
Techony is a very economical solution that is perfect for small businesses that don’t have dedicated HR and IT staff. There are no contracts and you are not charged on the number of users that access the system. Global availability is a distinct advantage for a small business that has staff working interstate or overseas.
Pricing
For smaller companies the cost will be approximately AU$1.50 inc GST per employee per month. However the more employees you have the cheaper it will be per employee. Discounts will also be available for companies who choose to pay annually. For billing purposes an "employee" is a person who is recorded in the system for HR purposes and still active. How many people can use Techony?
The is no limit on the number of user accounts that can be created. Techony is not billed by the number of user that access the system.
Security
How secure is my data
All access to Techony is encrypted via Secure Socket
Layer (SSL), the same technology used for online banking. All employees
accessing the system will require a user name and password.
The Techony system uses multiple redundant servers to ensure there is no single point of failure. The database is replicated live on a backup system with regular off site backups. Uploaded attachments are stored on clustered file server spanning multiple data centres.
How do I get my data if I want to leave?
Techony respects that everything you add to Techony is your data. You will be able to export your data to various common file formats like CSV (MS Excel) and XML.
